The growing demand for faster, more efficient optical communication systems calls for compact, tunable, and ultra-fast photonic components. This project introduces a novel wavelength-selective switch built in a KLTN crystal waveguide using electroholography (EH).

Unlike traditional optical switches, this device offers rapid (sub-nanosecond) response, broad tunability, and electrical control without moving parts. By integrating ion-implanted waveguides and a stable Bragg grating architecture, it achieves long-term reliability and high performance.

The technology is well-suited for next-generation WDM networks, tunable lasers, and integrated photonic circuits—paving the way for scalable, reconfigurable optical infrastructure.
