Research

The APH Department research spans a broad spectrum of activities, with each faculty member leading an independent research group devoted to a broad topic. These research activities are at the forefront of science and technology, helping to establish new paradigms in systems and devices, measurement and sensing apparatuses, and new techniques allowing us to probe further, deeper, and with greater fidelity and resolution.  Our research is founded on physics principles and utilizes the ability to control and measure phenomena at the nanoscale and ultrafast time scales, where quantum effects often rule.
